Plots will be given to left out Kol Dam oustees in re-settlement Colony Sunni

While presiding over the first meeting of State level Vishwakarmi Welfare Board meeting organised by department of Social Justice and Empowerment here today, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that plots would be provided to the left-out Kol Dam oustees in re-settlement colony Sunni in Shimla district in near future.

He announced up-gradation of government middle school, Talehan in Gram Panchayat Bindla in tehsil Karsog to Government high school and to give financial assistance for construction of Mahila Mandal Bhawan at upper Kalot in Sarkaghat in district Mandi.

It was also decided in the meeting to make correction of sub-caste in revenue records of the Vishwakarmi families of Tattapani and Randoul villages in Mandi district and to be updated as sub-caste Lohar instead of Dumna. It was also decided to remove encroachment on Nautor land already provided to some others.

The directions were issued to all Deputy Commissioners to ensure three biswas of land in rural areas and two biswas of land in urban areas to the landless.

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dhani Ram Shandil welcomed the Chief Minister on the occasion and thanked him for conducting the first meeting of Vishwakarmi Welfare Board.

Chief Secretary P Mitra and other senior officers of the state government were also present on the occasion amongst others.
