Shimla municipal polls postponed. Why that's a big dealThe Shimla Municipal Corporation elections have been postponed by the State Election Commission (SEC) in Himachal Pradesh. The postponement has provided the BJP with enough ammunition to lambast the Virbhadra Singh-led Congress government through the poll campaign that has already kicked off. The opponents of the Congress will now be making it a point to raise the postponed polls an issue at every rally underlining that the civic body polls in the state's capital would be the precursor to the poll outcome for the state Assembly elections.
