Never refused security to India-Pakistan match: Himachal CM

Shimla, March 10 (IANS) A day after the India-Pakistan World T20 match was shifted out of Himachal Pradesh due to security reasons, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said on Thursday that the state had never refused to provide security for the match. Slamming Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Anurag Thakur for raking up the issue after the shifting of the match venue, the chief minister said the state had at no point expressed its inability to provide security for the match. The ICC on Wednesday relocated the India-Pakistan group stage match, to be played on March 19, from Dharamsala to Kolkata citing security reasons.
