WITH Enforcement Directorate (ED) closing on him in the money laundering case, and Opposition raising the pitch for his resignation, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Wednesday got complete backing from the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) that resolved to remain united and thwart any attempt to topple the Congress government. Thirty-two Congress MLAs, barring Sujan Singh Pathania and Asha Kumari who were not in Shimla on the day, signed a resolution to denounce attachment of a property in Delhi by the ED in connection with the money laundering case against the CM, and reposed full faith in his leadership. Insiders say though there are some rebels in the party who have formed a group and also held a meeting Tuesday, none of them are yet to take a defiant stand against the Chief Minister in public.
