After heavy rain on two days, garbage from Shimla raises a stinkAfter heavy rain on Saturday night and Sunday, garbage from Shimla has started raising a stink in the city. With five trucks loaded with Shimla’s garbage being parked near the garbage plant in Sector 25, residents of the nearby area and passersby are facing a harrowing time. After Jaypee Associates Limited, which is running Chandigarh’s garbage processing plant, refused to accept the garbage from Shimla due to non-payment of tipping charges, the trucks have been parked near the plant for the past four days.
