Now, this Bengaluru-based social activist picks up leftover food from wedding halls, parties, hotels, as well as homes (if there is a big quantity), and distributes it to the needy. It is currently active in Coimbatore and some places in Chennai. As many as 50 volunteers from the NGO are involved in picking up the food. They collect food between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. and will only take food within six hours of it being prepared. The volunteers taste the food before accepting it and then give it away to the needy. They will come and collect excess food from you, if you stay in Gurgaon. If you stay outside Gurgaon, you will have to arrange for the transportation yourself. The collection is mainly at night. after this, food is stored in refrigerators. Only after it is declared fit for consumption, by medical experts, is the food distributed among the underprivileged. It operates in Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Faridabad, Goa, Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, and Solan.
